Cocoa Classic
Log some winter miles at Independence Oaks with a 2.5 or 5 mile loop. Participants will have the option of one loop (2.5 miles) or two loops (5 miles) on the paved river loop. Celebrate post race around the bonfire with cocoa!
Check in at the Boat House. The course will be on the paved path. We will do our best to have a clear path, however, this is winter in Michigan, there could be ice or snow so come prepared.
Each participant will get a winter hat, cocoa mug and a finisher medal.

Packet Pick-Up: Race Morning at 08:30am at The Boat House
Race Start: 09:30am
All races start and finish near the Boat House at Independence Oaks.

Yes, All finishers receive a custom race medal (woodallion).
Overall male and female for each race will receive an award along with top 3 in each age group.

You are allowed to change races at any time, as long as there is open availability. If you know before race day, you can email the race director at hello@runningventure.com to switch your race entry. If you show up on race day, you can change races at the registration table. There is no fee transfer for changing races, you will stay charged the same amount as when you signed up.
Parking, bathrooms, water, registration, packet-pickup, is located near the start line.
Race Morning at the Boat House
The race course and park are still open to the public, so please be courteous to other runners/bikers who may be using the path and road.
This is winter in Michigan. We will do our best to make sure the course is as clear as possible but there could be ice and snow. Participate at your own risk.
