FIRST DAY 5K
Kick off the new year with a 5k. Sleep in and then start the year strong with a 5k race on the first day of the year. Races dont start until noon so plenty of time to sleep in. Race will take place at Independence Oaks park in Clarkston, Michigan at noon on January 1.
Check in at the Boat House. The course will be on the paved path. We will do our best to have a clear path, however, this is winter in Michigan, there could be ice or snow so come preparared.

All races start and finish near the Boat House at Independence Oaks.
The course will be an out and back on the paved river loop path. We will do our best to make sure the path is clear, however, this is winter in Michigan so there could be ice and snow.

All participants will receive a custom neck gator and gloves

You are allowed to change races at any time, as long as there is open availability. If you know before race day, you can email the race director at hello@runningventure.com to switch your race entry. If you show up on race day, you can change races at the registration table. There is no fee transfer for changing races, you will stay charged the same amount as when you signed up.
Parking, bathrooms, water, registration, packet-pickup, is located near the start line.

The race course and park are still open to the public, so please be courteous to other runners/bikers who may be using the path and road.
This is winter in Michigan. We will do our best to make sure the course is as clear as possible but there could be ice and snow. Participate at your own risk.
